In 1977 Richard and Regina Brown founded Manufacturing Services, Inc, in Swainsboro, Georgia. Manufacturing Services, Inc. began its operation with two punch presses, one 3' shear, one 6' brake, and a surface grinder. In 1981 the company embarked on an ambitious plan to acquire state-of-the-art fabricating equipment and make a dedicated investment in training for people to operate it. With steady progress, evidenced by expansions in 1982, 1984, 1986, and 1988, Manufacturing Services, Inc. moved into a new 60,000 square foot industrial building in 1989, and changed its name to Advanced Metal Components, Inc. Today AMC operates from a 127,000 square foot facility and supplies contract manufacturing services to businesses in the industrial equipment, medical,
refrigeration , recreation, mass transit, and telecommunications industries. |
